Winter Hiking & Snowshoeing in Radstadt
A fairytale winter landscape in Salzburg
If you feel like spending a slightly quieter day, you can always take a leisurely stroll or a superb winter hike through the especially enchanting winter scenery that surrounds Radstadt in the Salzburg region. In the vicinity of Radstadt you will find 20 kilometres of cleared winter trails for your hiking pleasure.
The ‘Ennsweg’ will take you to Altenmarkt in about an hour. You will need about an hour and a half to take in the gorgeous sights of the Ennstal circular hiking trail. You will need about 3½ if you want to hike from Radstadt along the Bürgerbergalm Rohrmoos circular trail Or simply just take a tour of Radstadt’s mediaeval city walls (about 20 minutes).
If you want to add a more athletic touch to your hiking, why not try some snowshoe hiking? You will experience the lonely silence of the fresh snow in a winter forest as you make your first tracks in the virgin snow.
